Due to my many heath concerns, I see quite a few doctors at UCI but I have to say that Dr. Shive is at the top of the list. I’ve been seeing her since she was a fellow resident and she is absolutely the best.

Drs Shive and Zachary kept me informed and asked several times about my comfort level. They even laughed at my jokes, such as they were. Overall, my experience was nothing but positive…seriously! Dr. Shive, Dr. Hutchinson, the medical student, the nurse(s) were all helpful and they knew what they were doing which helps the patient remain calm. Was not stressed at any time because they just made you feel like they were going to take care of you and answered any questions I had. Having a lifetime of medical issues, some complex, has given me some very enlightening moments during doctor visits. I practically have at least 4 to 6 doctor appointments every month and have come to experience the differences in the medical world from the 1970’s to current year. What a difference. But doctors and staff like UCI Tustin really help patients appreciate the medical care they receive. No, it’s not like “the old days”, but in some ways, a bit better. Very happy with the team that took care of me.

Dr. Shive is a knowledgeable, empathetic caregiver. When I am in the office of Dr. Shive, I feel that I am seen, heard, and treated with respect, which I appreciate. I also appreciate the respect and comaraderie shown between everyone within the office – including between doctor and staff.

Treatment by a lovely Dr. Shive {staff names removed} I remember her name because she’s such a fine concern person, and especially all the help and extra work that {staff name removed} the attendant provided for the entire visit coming and going, and she needs to be commanded. Excellent work by {staff name removed} can’t remember which, but he sure is great. Very good. Thank you.

Will assume strong pulling in stitching process is SOP, so will leave it at that. Otherwise,after stitching, wound looked clean and consistent.
